Today I want to discuss a little about how to start working on creating a vision for your future. This is an area that seems to be overlooked by many new small business owners. Many teaching or mentoring programs seem to skip right over this very important step in helping you find a guaranteed path to success. Many will give you step by step instructions on what you need to do to be successful marketing your product. But what they may fail to guide you on is the proven key ingredients in developing a long term successful business. One very important beginning step in the process is to create a vision for you and your business. You need to have this vision in mind at all times so can review your progress along the way to see if you are continuing to head in the right direction toward your destination, your vision. Look at it this way, you would not be able to build a house without a picture of what it should look like when you are complete. This complete picture, or vision, of your home allows you to formulate a precise plan of action to achieve the desired outcome. The same holds true for your business and for your life for that matter. Without a complete vision for your life and your business you are guaranteed to struggle with having a clear and concise plan of how to reach your goal. This is why it is vital to your prosperity that you create your vision. this is done through various types of goal setting exercises to to help you develop a complete vision for your future. This is how we get the concept Believing is Seeing. If you know or believe what the end result will be you can more easily achieve it. For example, in sports a golfer, or quarterback, or basketball player, will see the shot or play in his or her mind before he or she does it. They have a vision. With that vision in mind the athlete will believe they can achieve it and then have the confidence to carry out the action. When creating your vision there are a few things to keep in mind; one, you have to truly Believe in your vision, and two, "There are no unrealistic goals, only unrealistic deadlines".
